Now is not a good time to join the police force in Scotland. After the recent heavy recruitment drive, most of the forces have frozen recruitment while the uncertain financial and political situation ensues. Anyone who wishes to join the police force is well advised to spend time right now in preparation for when the freeze is lifted, as it will undoubtedly be, probably in the new year. Apart from working on the application form and fitness levels, candidates can prepare for the entrance test know as the Standard Entrance Test. Currently............ 40% of people sitting the Standard Entrance Test fail!30% of graduates sitting the Standard Entrance Test fail!62% of ethnic minorities sitting the Standard Entrance Test fail! The Police Practice Papers workbooks have been designed to help you prepare for the test. Since the police force allows you only three attempts at the entrance test, there is a real need to be prepared if you want to make the most of each test opportunity.
The workbooks are written in a clear, concise and to the point style. The introduction to Papers 1-4 contains up-to-the-minute, relevant information about the SET test as well as essential information about exam techniques and how to maximise your results. The Numbers book gives preparation techniques for working with numbers and examples of how to work out each question in the Numbers test. Each practice paper is designed to be as close to the actual test as possible. The workbooks are a must for anyone seriously thinking about a career in the police force in Scotland. We aim to have all orders in the post (first class mail) by the following day. STOP PRESS: a six week SET Preparation Course will run in Jury's Inn, Glasgow city centre on Monday and Wednesday evenings 6.45pm to 9.15pm starting on Monday 21st September 2010 For more details contact:John Perry: 07932 480450 or Debbie Bear: 07757 666711 www.police-entrance-test.co.uk
'Can you please post on your website my satisfaction. It's my third and final time sitting the SET. It was only then I discovered Police Practice Papers. I am pleased to say thanks to the practice papers I passed. Very useful and perfect service. Thanks!!' Alice
Thank you very much for the fast and efficient service which you have provided. I am very pleased with the website, prices and polite updates which I have received once I had ordered my practice papers. I will recommend your website without a second thought. Kind regards, Richard.
'Many thanks for the idea of releasing the Scottish Police Practice Papers to the general public as currently the range of Police Entrance test books are more inclined for English and Welsh forces. As for someone who relishes the idea of joining Strathclyde Police and having sat the exam twice as a fail with only marginal marks from the overall pass mark. I feel the Scottish PPP has helped me develop a greater understanding of the numeracy section - sadly my downfall. I am using the PPP as well as previous instruction from areas such as the Big Plus and personal tuition to fully prepare me for the exam as it was shocking to see how badly my numeracy had fallen behind. I am hoping I can finally lay to rest the past years of disappointment where I came close but fell in the final hurdle and I hope that the PPP will finally put me towards the career I have always wanted to do. Thanks, Scott.'
Thanks very much for sending out the other paper so quickly, very much appreciated! They are excellent ;-)
